Why did Replicated choose rook as our storage provisioner for K8s?

Why did Replicated choose rook as our storage provisioner for K8s? Why don’t we use cloud provisioning and instead use Rook everywhere?

Rook is based on Ceph, which is very reliable if configured correctly. Rook follows the Operator pattern in Kubernetes, embedding the operational expertise needed to run Ceph into a pod.
